SKIN NEEDLING
Skin Needling is a revolutionary technique used to decrease the appearance of scars, burns, vitiligo and fine lines or wrinkles. Using specialised dry needles, the affected
area is worked on lightly, triggering a healing response which results in a form of skin remodeling. After healing, the damaged area relaxes and a new skin matrix is promoted,
resulting in a softer and more even appearance.
SCAR CAMOUFLAGE – The Skin Needling procedure softens scar tissue and triggers extra collagen and elastin production in the skin which results in permanently smoother
and less noticeable scar tissue. By using a variety of techniques, we are able to trigger melanin production in areas with no pigmentation such as vitiligo, burns and scars.
This results in the body naturally producing pigment and recolouring the area! One to three sessions are usually required.
SCARS FROM ACNE & INJURIES:
The pitted scars left from acne, chicken pox, and other injuries can be plumped, giving the skin a more even, smoother texture. Scars from surgery can also benefit from needling. The skin can regain pigment, so the differences in tone are more subtle. Works on face and body.
STRETCH MARKS & WHITE SCARS:
Needling can also activate the production of melanin to restore a more even, natural skin tone to white or light scars. This is good for scars that occur from injuries, surgeries, and stretch mark. Needling will achieve results on most skin types.
SCAR RELAXING:
Scar tissue that is tight or impairs movement can be softened and relaxed to increase flexibility and movement. Primarily used for burn survivors.
FINE LINES & WRINKLES – Skin Needling can be used on the face and neck to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is very similar to that used
for scars, and triggers a healing response with increased collagen and elastin production, effectively plumping out fine lines and wrinkles! At no time is any substance injected
into the skin. This procedure simply triggers the body to correct the decreased collagen and elastin which creates the wrinkles. The effects are great, and it is both safer and
more permanent than collagen, restalyn or botox injections.
CLIENT FEEDBACK:
“I used to have Botox injections every three months for the heavy frown lines on my forehead and between my eyes. I had three sessions of needling with Sarah at Divine Lady. I was initially a bit skeptical about the whole thing, but the result speaks for itself - 9 months later I still look smooth and wrinkle-free.”

SKIN NEEDLING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A natural alternative to Laser Resurfacing, Botox or Collagen.
WHAT IS SKIN NEEDLING?
Needling is a sophisticated technique which promotes the body's natural
production of Collagen, Elastin (gives skin elasticity) and Melanin (pigment producing cells). This process smoothes out scars, wrinkles and can even out the tone of some skin discolorations. This non-invasive procedure is long lasting and all natural.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Needling is accomplished through microscopic punctures made to the top layer of the epidermis. This stimulates the body’s natural wound healing by breaking up old Collagen strands to produce new Collagen and Melanocytes, creating smoother skin. Needling tends to have a similar effect to laser resurfacing, but without the damage to the epidermis.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Some clients see immediate results from needling, others notice improvement gradually over an 8 week period. Individual results vary as each body’s regeneration will vary. Most clients require multiple sessions to achieve desired results that generally last for years.
IS IT SAFE?
Needling is safe with stringent cross-contamination standards, and because nothing is injected, allergic reactions and side-effects are non-existent. Needling is a minimally invasive procedure. With rapid healing and simple aftercare, needling is an attractive solution for scars and wrinkles. At Divine Lady Tattoo, needling is performed by a qualified Natural Collagen Enhancement Technician (Skin Needling) and Registered Nurse.
