PARAMEDICAL TATTOOParamedical tattoo is used to treat clients with scars, burns, alopecia, and vitiligo amongst a variety of other dermatological conditions. It is also used to create a visual nipple and areola on breast surgery patients who have had nipples removed, or to repair the colour and shape of nipple/areola that have been damaged during surgery. The process is very similar to that of cosmetic tattoo, whereby Hypo-allergenic pigments (extracted from minerals) are implanted into the skin using a small, electric machine housing a single fine, or a cluster of very fine needles. Anaesthetics are used to dull sensation in the area and reduce any discomfort. Our micropigmentation Technician is a Qualified Nurse, University Trained in Fine Arts and Colour Theory. She has completed intensive training in Paramedical Tattoo, and is continually updating her skills and education. A one hour consultation will be conducted prior to your treatment to allow you and your technician to discuss the colours and styles that will best suit your needs, and to answer any questions you may have about your procedure/s. If you are planning or have upcoming surgery, you are welcome to attend a consult prior to the surgery, so that we can plan and assess your desired outcome.
SCAR CAMOUFLAGE - Imagine your most intimate imperfections being camouflaged so well you have to search for any reminder of them! This technique involves implanting pigment to the area until the desired likeness to the natural skin tone is achieved. Flesh tone colours are mixed to suit the individual and blended seamlessly into the imperfection and surrounding area. A variety of equipment and techniques are used to ensure a completely natural result on burns, surgical scars, vitiligo, alopecia, scarring from accident or injury, and many other conditions which result in loss of pigment to the skin. Skin Needling can also be used successfully on scars, burns and vitiligo. Client Feedback: “You can hardly see the scar on my face anymore. I don’t need to spent 20 minutes and half a bottle of concealer covering it up every morning like I have for the last seven years! Yay!” AREOLA & NIPPLE PIGMENTATION - Breasts play a tremendous part in shaping a woman's self image. It can be extremely damaging to a woman's sense of self-confidence if she is unhappy with the appearance of her breasts. Areola Re-Pigmentation involves various procedures ranging from simply improving the aesthetics of the shape and/or color of an areola, to completely Reconstructing the appearance of areolas for women that have had Mastectomies. Nipple and areola pigmentation is the final stage of breast reconstruction surgery. At Divine Lady Tattoo, we can create a natural-looking nipple-areola complex by implanting pigment into the area. Pigment can be injected into the skin to correct size, shape or symmetry of an existing nipple-areola complex, or to create a realistic, visually 3-D nipple and areola where none exist. Surgical scars can also be flawlessly camouflaged. The Re-Pigmentation process can be a very healing and rewarding process for women who are dealing with the usually devastating physical results of mastectomy and other breast surgery. Areola /nipple repigmentation clients are involved in an extensive consult process, in which the client and technician collaborate to create the desired outcome. Usually one to three micropigmentation sessions are required to achieve the final result. Colours are individually mixed for each client; and can be made to match an existing nipple/areola if there is one, or to match the clients pre-surgery nipple/areola if the client can provide photos to work from. Alternatively, the client can decide how they want their nipple/areola to look. Women who naturally have small, large or light colored areolae; or who have experienced changes after child-birth or breastfeeding may choose to have colour implanted to change the size, shape or colour of their areola for purely aesthetic purposes. Our skilled micropigmentation Technician has undergone intensive training in Paramedical Tattoo, and is highly skilled in creating the appearance you desire. Client Feedback: “After having my nipple removed during a radical mastectomy, I felt ugly and incomplete. Sarah Tattooed a new nipple for me, and her professional and caring nature made this process an easy one. The end result is wonderful, and has really helped me to heal emotionally.” |
